Animation Research

I particularly enjoyed this animation as it was rigged and animated using the same software we are currently learning in class, Lightwave. I also like how the video uploader provided a breakdown of the processes behind the animation.

This is an old teaser trailer for A Bugs Life, this is a film about insects and the journey of an ant named Flik. This is one of my favourite animated movies from my childhood. It was created by the movie studio Pixar, who also created Toy Story.

This is a stop-motion based animation using what seems to be play-dough. The snake is moved around bit by bit while the creator of the video takes pictures of each instance. These pictures are then put together in a video which then gives the illusion of movement.

An animation following the events of a snake attempting to eat a bird. This is a short with comedy in mind as despite all of the snakes attempts, it consistently fails to catch it's prey.

Another animation akin to the bird from earlier on in this post. This time it covers the walking cycle of a spider. While this one isn't quite as intricate as the animation of the bird, I am still intrigued via the process.
